Inspiration

Based in Argyll, midway between Oban and Fort William, Jane is ideally positioned to work on design and furnishing projects throughout the Highlands, Islands and beyond.  

Jane’s natural surroundings are her inspiration. The ever-changing colours, according to light, season and weather, subconsciously weave their way into the fabric of her interiors, which in turn become a reflection and a celebration of the Highland landscape. The tiniest details – lichens spotting the bark of a tree, or creating a rich tapestry on a rock; tumbled shells, jewel-like, on the beach; a single fallen curlew feather; a velvety bonnet of moss atop a fence post; seaweed clothing the shoreline – all somehow magically merge to form a harmonious and pleasing whole…and so Jane tries to do the same with her interiors.
